OPEN POSITION for master’s graduation project.

New open position within our group, Helsinki Urological Cancer Centre (HUCC), for a talented and motivated master’s student in computer science or a related field. This position will offer a unique opportunity to work on a cutting-edge research project with a duration of 5 to 6 months, starting in January 2024. The proposed project will involve the development of an AI-based web application to be utilized in the clinical research conducted at our Prostate Cancer Treatment Unit.

Project Overview:

The objective of this project is to create a sophisticated web application that will enhance our clinical research efforts in prostate cancer treatment. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing a robust AI-Based platform that will facilitate data collection, management, and analysis, ultimately contributing to advancements in prostate cancer research. This role will allow the candidate to actively participate in ground-breaking research while gaining valuable experience in a clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

The candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

– Designing and developing a web application using Python, Node.js, and React.

– Implementing database management algorithms to ensure efficient data handling.

– Collaborating with our clinical research team to understand their needs and requirements.

– Ensuring the security, scalability, and reliability of the web application.

– Providing technical support and training to end-users as needed.

Qualifications:

We are seeking a master’s student with the following qualifications:

– Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, Node.js, and React.

– Strong database management skills.

– A keen interest in clinical research, particularly in the field of prostate cancer treatment.

– Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude.

– Strong communication and teamwork skills.
